The new Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 has been exclusively designed to deliver a simply superb experience at sea and while moored. Discovery  has remarkable volumes of light-filled living spaces, allowing you to comfortably share the experiences and create life-long memories with family and friends.  The Lucia 40 has all the contemporary conveniences you need for carefree cruising, so you can relax in comfort while experiencing the catamaran’s impressive performance at sea.

Sleek lines are complemented by a light and bright interior, courtesy of large panoramic portholes, that incorporate premium quality fixtures and finishes.

Opening front windows and opening hatches in the cabins provide great ventilation. The main salon is large with a continuous and uninterrupted front windshield. The chart table faces forward adjacent to comfortable salon seating with a coffee table for social gatherings. The galley is adjacent to the cockpit, with a pass through serving counter. The large double refrigerator drawer system is aft with easy glide out access. Above the fridge is a large front loading freezer. Other features include a double sink, 3 burner stove top and an oven. All of  the cabinets feature new, easy-opening latches and hardware and smart closing functionality. All lighting incorporates energy efficient Led lights and there are overhead and floor mood lights.

This Maestro version comprises a spacious owner’s suite with exclusive ensuite, as well as two guest cabins that feature their own private bathrooms. In the owners suite, forward is the bathroom area that features a large shower room (110 x 85cm) with a separate head. Moving aft there’s a spacious dressing area with masses of storage and hanging space that leads seamlessly through to an elegant bedroom with a desk/dressing table and an impressive island bed that measures 1.5 x 2m with an aft-facing panoramic window above. On the port side the aft cabin boasts a large walk around island double berth with plenty of storage and hanging lockers. The forward cabin offers a double berth, large hanging locker and panoramic views from the large porthole. Each cabin has a private bathroom sink vanity area, shower and electric head.

Outside, there are several different relaxation areas including a spacious cockpit, with an eight-seat dining table and a long settee across the transom, that has been designed for easy entertaining at sea. The popular chaise lounge is across from the table. Additional features include hatches in the sides of the hulls for each cabin, flush deck hatches, a foredeck lounge area and a new fitted trampoline that does not leave any gaps between it and the two hulls. All controls lead back to the control cockpit which is at deck level facilitating a couple easily handling and docking the boat with the helmsman a step away from the deck to help with docking maneuvers. The control cockpit is adjacent to, and open to the main cockpit for easy communication, and passing refreshments to the helmsman. You have 360 degree visibility from the cockpit or inside navigation table! There is a ladder giving access to the cabin roof top, where there is a sundeck area. The boom is low to allow easy tucking in of sails, and to keep the center of effort of the sail-plan low to promote less motion and better sailing efficiency. There is a forward fore deck lounge area, and a comfortable trampoline to lie on. Large storage lockers are located in the front of each hull. The decks are wide and flat with all flush hatches.

The Lucia 40 is a true revolution in her class. No other sailing catamaran of her size has fabulous living space of the Lucia 40, which includes a luminous salon, generous cabins, expansive cockpit, and a decadent lounge area on the bow.
